The total number of kilometers traveled in five different transportations in the UK by the travelers during the years 1990 and 2000 is delineated in the given bar chart.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that bicycles, bikes, and air were less used than buses and rail, which had a majority number of kilometers traveled by passengers between 1990 and 2000. Moreover, the total displayed the amount of kilometers traveled by tourists in 1990 and 2000.
As the diagram suggests, the shares of 3 types of transportation were significantly lower than others, especially bicycle, bike, and air. To be more specific, in 1990, the proportion was decreasing for bicycles, and bikes in 1990 and 2000 reached almost the same numbers around 6 and 5 billion kilometers, respectively. In contrast, although the number of air was the lowest in 1990, its increased in the next 20 years.
Probing further, regarding the most relevant transportation used, buses had reached about 42 billions, while the rails were a litter bit lower with just approximately 41 billions. However, in 2000, both transportations had exactly the same amount of kilometers traveled with around 43 billions. Finally, the total showed the final outcome of those 5 different transportations in 1990 and 2000, with 100 and 120 kilometers, respectively.
