Similar trends can be observed for some countries such as Armenia, Bangladesh, Mexico, and Australia. On the contrary, the ratio of smoker males have increased in Egypt and Lebanon.
Indeed in 2000, only nearly 35% of the men were smoking in Egypt, Lebanon and Mexico. As in 2015, half of the Egyptian male population are now smokers. Another example where men smokes more is Lebanon. Despite the rise of smokers to nearly 45%, the change is not rapid as in Egypt. Conflictingly, amount of smokers in Mexico lessened to 20%.
A major shift can be observed for Armenia and Bangladesh too. In Armenia almost 70% of the men were smokers. In 2015, it was declined to 50%. In Bangladesh, the ratio shifted from 60% to 40%.
On the other hand, Cuba stands as the only country here with a small-scale reduction in numbers.
