The bar graph details the proportion of senior citizens in three different nations in the years 1980, 2000, and 2030.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the percentage of people aged 65 and over is growing in all three countries. Elderly populations have risen and are predicted to grow steadily in all countries. Germany has and will continue to have the highest proportion, while Canada will likely overtake the UK.
In Germany, the biggest increase in the proportion of elderly people will be from 15% to 20% during the subsequent decade. Furthermore, the proportion of elderly people in the United Kingdom will significantly go up by 14% to 15% over the next 50 years.
The numbers will be more variable for elderly people in Canada and will grow sharply from 10% to 15% by the end of the period.
By 2030, Germany is expected to rise by another 5% to 25%, with Canada surpassing the United Kingdom and finishing at 22%. The United Kingdom’s figures will lag behind slightly at just under 20%.
