The bar chart demonstrates how the percentage of households with cars changed in one European country from 1971 to 2001. Overall, it is clear that the percentage of people with no car decreased gradually over a given period,while the most preferable option was owning one car.
In 1971,about 47% of people did not own a car and 35% of them had one. In 1981,the percentage of people with one car showed a small decrease to 33%.Regarding the percentage the percentage of people with no car,it had considerable decline from 43% to 30% by 1991. At the same period,the percentage of people with one car went up dramatically and peaked at 47%. Finally,in 2001,there was a slight decrease in the percentage of people with one car by 3% and the percentage of people with no car levelled off at 28%.
Next,the number of people who owned two cars was around 16% in 1971. The proportion experienced significant growth,reaching 27% in the next decade. Despite the slight decline to 21% in 1991, there was a rise to 27% in the final decade.
