The provided bar chart shows the popularity of five different types of activity – basketball, cycling, football, swimming and hockey – amongst men and women aged 18-20 in one month in 2015.
Overall, it can be observed that football is mostly sought-after with boys, having almost 50% against 15% of girls at this activity. Almost 40% of women prefer to ride a bike. Whatsoever, hockey takes the lowest percentage for two groups.
More specifically, boys enjoy basketball almost 20% more than women. Also, despite hockey being the lowest for both, it still about 5% more popular for males. On the other hand, girls would rather swim, having 35% at this activity, than play football or hockey.
While cycling seems to be women’s most liked, the gap between two groups in this sport is only 5%, however in football this number is almost 9 times higher. Also, high difference in proportion can be observed in basketball, where guys enjoy it roughly three times more.
