For the 17–19 age group, about 8% of men and 7% of women had no qualifications. In the 20–24 and 25–29 groups, the numbers were still low, about 9–10% for both men and women. In the 30–39 and 40–49 age groups, the numbers went up. Around 12–15% of people had no qualifications, and women had a little higher percentage than men. The biggest number was in the oldest group (50–59 for women and 50–64 for men). About 23% of men and 24% of women had no qualifications.
In conclusion, younger people had more education, while many older people in the UK did not have any qualifications.
