The graph illustrates the percentage of groups of people who ate five portions of fruits and vegetables each day in the UK between 2001 and 2008.
Overall, women have the most high percentage every year, while children have the opposite position during the period. Each group grew steadily.
In three years, from 2001 to 2003 men and children groups were stable by almost 13%, but in 2004 they started increasing. By contrast, women grew by approximately 23% to just above 26% in those years. Children’s and men’s the highest percentage was in 2007, when children had around 26%, and men had almost 27%.
Women were increasing constantly and steadily during the all period. The most significant rose was by 5% in one year, from 2005 to 2006. In 2007, they had a decline from 35% to approximately 31%, and in 2008 the picture changed to 30%. All the groups had declines from 2007 to 2008.
