The bra chart compares the proportion of people who were daily eating five portions of fruits and vegetables in the UK between 2001 and 2008.
Overall, all categories witnessed an upward trend, with figure for women dominating whole chart, while the opposite was true for children’s rate.
Regarding women category, the percentage initially was approximately 22% and had an increase until 2006, reaching its peak (35%) and exceeding all previous rates, although this peak was not maintained and dropped to about 28% by the end of the period.
In contrast, the rate of men and children had significantly lower number (around 17% and 13%, respectively) than that of women. However, both managed to had a progressive increase, reaching their peak in 2007 (approximately 27% and 26%, respectively) and narrowing gap between the figure of women. Similary to women, the percentage of both men and children decreased by the end of the period, albeit they witnessed smaller decline compared to women.
