The bar chart illustrates the proportion of school going children learning to play four different intruments namely piano, drums, guitar and violin in the years 2005, 2010 and 2015. The data is measure in percentage.
Overall, it can be identified that piano was the preferred instrument to learn as it was not until 2015 that another instrument had a higher percentage but it was just by a slight margin. Guitar had rapid increase in the number of children where violin was experencing a decline in figures.
In 2005 piano had highest participation with about 11% and guitar and violin following closely with 10% and roughly 9%.Drums had the lowest with approximately 5% and remained constant in the year 2010 as well.Both piano had a significant increase in the same year with each raising by close to 9%. However, violin experence a decrease to about 7%
By 2015 interest in guitar and piano had gotten extremely popular as guitar rose upto 40%and piano 38% there about.This was also the year more people prefered guitar to piano. Drums as well had peaked some interest with a rise to rougly 9 % but violin dropped to 5%
