Overall, it is apparent that both oranges and apples showed an upward trajectory, with the former seeing the highest increase in its prices. It is also worth noting that even though price of apples was far higher than oranges, they were overtaken in final year due to slight growth.
Looking at the first given three years, in 2010, cost of apples was about $4.80 per pound, while that for oranges was roughly 4 dollars. In the following year, both their price rose for about 10 cents, $4.90 and $4.10 respectively. In 2012, price of oranges almost reached the same rate with apples, being about $4.90, whereas apples reached roughly 5 dollars.
In the remaining two years, rate of oranges increased dramatically, while apples witnessed modest increase. In 2013, oranges surpassed the apples’ cost which was around four dollars and ten cents, a figure after then rose approximately 6 dollars in 2014. In last given year, cost of apples increased by only 10 cents.
