The diagram displays how much kWh of electricity was produced and consumed by ten countries in 2014. Overall, China and the United States were the top two countries that led high production and consumption of electricity. Also, the production exceeded the rate of consumption in almost all countries.
At 5,398 and 4,099 billion kWh, China and the United States were ranked the first and second countries that produced the highest amounts of electricity and surpassed the consumption rate at 5,322 and 3,866 billion kWh. Russia, on the other hand, had about equal frequencies of production and consumption at an average of 1,000 billion kWh.
From Japan being the fourth to Brazil being the eighth country, the power generated, ranging from 900 billion kWh to 500 billion kWh, remained greater. However, Germany was the only country that utilized more power than it produced, respectively at 526.6 billion kWh and 582.5 billion kWh. At about 400 billion kWh, the Republic of Korea’s production and consumption of electricity was ranked the last.
