The bar chart illustrates the total incomes and the amount of employees involved in three different music sectors between 2013 to 2015.
Overall, live music remains the most successful sector throughout the period with the highest number in both earnings and employees in 2014. In contrast, the music publishing sector appears to be the smallest sector in both categories. While earnings generally increased over the three years, the number of employees only shows slight changes
In terms of total earnings, live music remains the greatest which cost over 800$ million in 2013 then reaches its highest point in 2014 for about 980$ million before falling slightly to 950$ million in 2015. Recommended music also experienced growth, increasing from 600$ million in 2013 to approximately 650$ million in 2014. Music publishing cost the lowest income although it increased steadily from over 400$ million in the first year to nearly 500$ million by the end of the period.
Regarding employment, it shows a big comparison between live music and music publishing employees. Live music workers remain relatively stable with over 20,000 people and surpassed over 24,000 in 2015. Recommended music had fewer employees where the number slowly increased although it stayed from 2014 to 2015, whereas the music publishing had the smallest number of workers and stayed below 2,000 employees throughout the three years.
