The charts demonstrate the amount of rain that precipitated in hot desert glassland in 1980 and 2000.
While, in both years, there was a significant fluctuation in the quantity of precipitation over the months, the months with the most rainfalls differed in 2000 from those in 1980. Moreover, they have switched positions: the highest in 1980 are the lowest in 2000, and vice versa. Noticeably, the portion of rain registered in 1980 was significantly larger all year long when compared to that of 2000. Actually, the highest amount in 1980 is approximately six times the highest one in 2000.
In 1980, the first semester was, on average, wetter than the second; although the last months exhibited an increase trend. Furthermore, the amounts of rain recorded in the chart varied from around 150mm of precipitation in July to over 300mm in March.
The most noticeable difference is that rainfall In 2000 was markedly lower. In fact, it fluctuated between 47mm of precipitation in March and April to 52mm in July, August and November. Additionally, the second semester registered a fairly larger proportion of rainfalls, and revealed a growth trend in the last months, with December being the exception.
