The pie charts illustrate the percentages of four main news sources among different age groups in 2022. Overall, it is clear that television was the most popular among all three age groups. In addition, while online news sites accounted for largest percentage in teenagers group, it recorded the smallest among old people.
Turning to figures of teenagers and young adults, it can be seen that people online news sites made up highest proportion among teenagers, at 52%, it was also important source for young adults with 33% user. Television was another source, which widely used, at the most 35% for young adults and 37% for teenagers. By contrast, printed news lowest percentage, only under 10% among both age groups. While teenagers focus much on television and online platform and just 4% accessed information by others, people in their twenties used other sources accounted for 26%.
Compared with old people, nearly a half of old them used traditional sources such as television. Following by printed newspapers with 29% and others with 23%, whereas new platform like online new sites were less used.
