The given charts depict the outcomes of a survey in 2003 in Greece from two distinct age groups on the importance of related factors when choosing an occupation.
According to the figures money was accounted for the most determinative criterion for those who are between 20 to 35, embracing 27% of the votes. On the contrary, it can be witnessed only 7% of the surveyors voted friends, making it the least important factor.
On the other hand, people with the age between 40 to 50, was affected by their parents significantly so that, nearly 30% voted these sector. Meanwhile, the bar chart elaborates that friends’ opinions are the least influential criterion for these age group as rather similar to the other one.
It is evidence that young people are more inclined to choose a career based on the payment while, elder ones chiefly tend to satisfy their parents. Additionally, it is reasonable to assume that, in this case friends are not so effective.
