The bar chart provides information about the proportion of renewable energy supplied in four different countries between 2000 and 2007. Overall, all four countries experienced an increase, with Norway showing the largest growth. It is also clear that Norway and Iceland generated higher figures compared to others.
Focusing on bigger figures first, the share of renewable energy in Norway and Iceland remained consistently higher throughout the period. In Norway, the renewable energy accounted for around 61% in 2000. This figure rose steady, reaching 78% by 2007, which remained the highest total supply among 4 countries. Iceland also followed this trend but at slightly lower level. Starting at around 51% in 2000, this figure increase to nearly 60% by 2004, before declining to 55% in 2007.
In contrast, Australia and Germany relied much less on renewable sources. Australia showed relatively low supply with gaining 8% and increasing to 9% throughout 7 years period. Turning to Germany, however, say a steady rise from 11% in 2000 to 18% by the end of the period.
