The illustrated bar graph displays the data of four different ways to transport which were used by individuals in European City between 1960 and 2000. In general, from beginning until the end of the year, transport by car had an upward trend solely while other transport usage had a decreasing trend.
To commence with, at the beginning of the year, transport by car started at approximately 7% and sharply increased to around 23%, then went up again to 35%, making this mode of transport reaching the peak and becoming the highest percentage of usage at the end of the year. In contrast, transport by walking was the most favorable transport in 1960 at almost 35%, while in the next period, it experienced a significant decrease to below 20%.
Moreover, there was a starting point by biking at 25% in 1960, after that biking exhibited a slight drop by 5% and plummeted to below 10% in two subsequent years. In the end, it turned into biking reaching the lowest percentage among other categories. Moving into coach, transport by coach was pointing at just under 20% and rose to 25% in the first and second period, shrinking to just above 15% at the end of the period.
