The given bar chart illustrates the comparison of carbon emissions by various countries ( USA, Germany, United Kingdom, China, Canada, India ) in 1975, 1990 and 2005.
Overall, it is evident that the carbon emissions by the USA recorded the highest figure throughout the period, while the United Kingdom and Canada showed the least over the period
. To begin with, the USA accounted for the highest, reaching nearly 1200,000 metric tons in 1975.
Furthermore, these carbon emissions gradually increased in 1990 and 2005, reaching a peak of 1600,000 metric tons. Whereas, the China’s emissions in 1975 was approximately 300,000 metric tons of carbon. However, the carbon release in 1990 accounted for just above 600,000 metric tons. By 2005, the carbon emissions in China saw a substantial rise, reaching at approximately 1500,000 metric tons.
Moving on to the Germany, although in 1975 and 1990 the emissions of carbon was more than 200,000 metric tons, this emissions showed slightly decline in 2005 at around 200,000 metric tons. On the other hand, India exhibited an upward trend. In 1975 and 1990, the carbon release was just under the 200,000 metric tons. However, in 2005, this emissions progressively raised to around 350,000 thousand metric tons. Similarly, the Canada’s emissions showed increasing trend over the period, approximately less than 200,000 metric tons. Meanwhile, the United Kingdom showed an fluctuating figure. They stayed at less than 200,000 metric tons in 1975, 1990 and 2005.
