Overall, dolphin numbers increased substantially and became the largest population by the end of the period, despite being the smallest group initially. Seal populations fluctuated before recovering, whereas whale numbers remained relatively stable throughout.
In 2006, seals recorded the highest population at just over 40, followed by whales at approximately 25, while dolphins were the lowest at around 18. Although seal numbers declined sharply to below 30 in 2010, they gradually recovered to more than 40 by 2018. In contrast, dolphin populations rose steadily from 18 in 2006 to about 50 in 2018, representing the most significant growth.
Whale numbers showed only minor changes over the period. They increased slightly to around 28 in 2010 before falling to approximately 22 in 2014, and then rose again to nearly 30 in 2018.
