This report focuses on the number of employed persons by job type and gender in Australia during the year 2003.
Tradepersons and clerical job types had the highest share of job preferences among males, with nearly 900 out of 1000 preferring these roles. Following these, the professions of managers and professionals were also popular among men, with approximately 600 and 700 individuals working in these fields, respectively. Conversely, production workers, semi-professionals, and laborers had the lowest levels of career preference among males.
When we look at the numbers for women, the clerical job type stands out with nearly 1000 out of 1000 females occupying these positions. Following this, professional and semi-professional roles had the next highest numbers, with over 700 and 300 women, respectively. In contrast, laborers, managers, production workers, and tradepersons represented the least employment among women in Australia for 2003.
While clerical roles were the most preferred job type for both women and men, the tradepersons category saw high preference among males but very low numbers among females. This concludes my report.
