The bar chart compares the global sales of various types of video games over a six-year period between 2000 and 2006.
Overall, handheld games had the dominant sales over all other types. Online,mobile phone and handheld games showed an increase, while the reverse was true for console games.Initially, only handled and console games were in the sales, with around 5 and 10 billion dollars of income respectively. The next year saw similar results, but this time with an addition of online games which made under 1 million dollars. The figures for online games and mobile phone phone games were at the rate in 2002. Meanwhile, console games were declining in sales, and the handheld games showed the opposite. In the next year, online and mobile phone games witnessed noticeable changes, while the remaining games stayed the same. During the period, the trend for console games decreased from approximately 5 to 3 billion dollars. In contrast, the rest of the games showed an upward trend. To be specific, online games rose to roughly 10 billion dollars, showing a significant growth; mobile phone games stood at 7 billion dollars. As for handled games, they increased consistently from 10 to 17 billion dollars.
