The bar graph illustrates the value of one country’s exports in various categories during 2015 and 2016. The table depicts the variation in the proportion of each category of exports in both years.
Overall, the earnings from gems and jewellery decreased over the period, in comparison to others, where they saw an increasing trend. Furthermore, petroleum products and agricultural products showed a minimal increase, while engineering goods and textiles accounted for the highest increase.
To begin with, the earnings from petroleum products and engineering goods were around 60 billion dollars, but in 2016 the amount increased to just above 60 billion dollars. Similarly, earnings from the export of agricultural products and textiles rose over the period, and were just above 30 billion dollars by 2016. Moreover, money from the export of gems and jewellery declined over period, from considerably above 40 billion to around 40 billion dollars.
Furthermore, the decrease percentage of gems and jewellery were approximately 5.18%, and the only category which declined over the period. Moreover, agricultural products had the lowest increase, which was 0.81%. While, textiles showed the highest rise accounting for 15.24%. Similarly, the earnings from engineering goods and petroleum products showed an increase percentage of 8.5% and 3%, respectively.
