The graph illustrates the data about the mean hours of everyday sunshine experienced in two cities of Australia throughout the year. Overall, from the graph it can be seen that Perth witnessed the most and least sunshine in the year. Furthermore, duration of sunshine in Perth fluctuated all round the year, however, average sunlight was quite consistent in Sydney in the same period.
Perth started the year with approximately 11 hours sunshine per day in January. However, this number dwindled in the next few months and stood at almost 5 hours sunlight a day in June. This continued for the next two months before gradually increasing to nearly 11 hours again in December, making both January and December the months with the most sunshine.
For Sydney, the month of January faced 8 hours average sunlight which dropped by just 1 hour in February and remained the same in the next two months. In May, it further declined to 6 hours of mean sunlight per day. Average sunlight in Sydney restored to 8 hours per day in August and since then, it remained unchanged for the rest of the year.
