Overall, it was clear that male academic staff had the highest proportion in almost all faculties. In addition, Engineering exhibited the peak figure for males among these six faculties, while the reverse was true for females, who had the lowest proportion.
Focusing first on males, in 2008 the percentage of academic staff in Engineering reached 90%, which was the highest among all faculties. Meanwhile, Astronomy and Science showed identical figures at 61%, which were higher than the proportions for females. It can be deduced that Law stood at 60%, again exceeding the female figure at the same year.
Turning to females, in 2008 three faculties recorded higher figures. In addition, the proportion of academic staff in History accounted for around 62%, exceeding that of males. Subsequently, Arts and Medicine followed closely at 58% and 57%, respectively, also higher than the male proportions. At the end of the process, in comparison, females recorded lower figures in almost four faculties.
