The chart and graph illustrate the ammount of an Olympics’ contestants for over the years. Overall, it shows an upward trend from 1924 to 2012.
Both men and women grew in a big ammount. But, if we compare two of them, women has the most dramatic rose. Started from only having less than 1,000 participants in 1924 and 1952, to having approximately 1,500 contestants in 1984. In a spare of 28 years, the demand of this Olympics boosted to more 4,500 contestants. It was much higher than the start of the chart.
On the other hand, men contestants also increased over the years. In a start of 1924, there are 3,000 contestants joined the Olympiads. Then expanded to more than 4,100 in 1952. The expansion didn’t stop there, it rose to approximately 5,100 joiners in 1984, and continue to grew to a maximum of 6,000.
The average of contestants also grew in a significant ammount, it shows a stable growth from 1924-1984 and peaked in a gradual growth to over 10,000.
