The given table illustartes the expenditure of men and women for activities in their spare time while the bar chart compares the level of time in different household activities in 2008, in UK.
Overall, men spent a larger amount of money for their leisure and TV, video, and radio represented the highest expanse in both groups. In addition, females usually did more household tasks than males did, with the exception of repair.
Regarding the table, the allocation of TV, video, and radio was clearly dominant with 137 of men and 118 of women. Meanwhile, sport accounted for the lowest share, standing at 18 of males group and was lower 1 point than females. Finally, the category of reading recorded a similar pattern in both males and females (18 and 19 respectively).
Concerning the bar chart, cooing and washing was done the most, roughly 78 minutes per day of women, significantly higher than that of men (about 30 minutes). This was followed by the amount of time of shopping, approximately 35 minutes per day of females and nearly 28 minutes of males. Moreover, clothes washing and ironing activities was also usually done by women ( about half an hour), whereas it only occupied 10 minutes of a men’s day. Remarkably, repair was the only activities which was done more by men ( nearly 20 minutes) and roughly 10 minutes in women’s day.
