The line graph illustrates world energy consumption between 1965 to 2013.
Overall, the data reveals distinct billion metric tons of oil equivalent trends, with Oil achieving the highest consumption figures, while hydro and other renewable energy consistently recorded the lowest.
Starting with Oil, this commenced the year with consumption of approximately 4.2 in 1965 and a changing upward trajectory but still getting the highest and peaking at just below 4.5 units in 2013. Following a minor decline to around 2.5 in 1983, sales surged to remarkable over 4.0 in 2011, indicating a strong performance during the latter part of the year. In contrast, Coal’s sales began higher at approximately 3.5 in 2003, reaching a temporary peak of 2009. However, it experienced fluctuations throughout the year.
On other hand, hydro demonstrated the lowest consumption figures across all years, starting the year at around 0.2 hydro consumed in 1965 and displaying a modest increase (not even modest) to 0.5 in 1983.
Natural Gas shows that it’s the most consistent than any other energy on the graph. This suggest a non competitive among the energy, although oil remained the least successful overall.
