Overall, while the figures of Landfill decreased significantly, the reverse was true for Burning. Moreover, Dumping at sea remained relatively stable throughout the period.
Focusing on increases first, starting at around 500 tonnes in 2005, the amount of wastes in Burning rose slightly to 600 tonnes, a figure that then leveled off by 2007. In 2008, the figure witnessed a minimal decline to roughly 570 tonnes.
When it comes to decreases, the amount of wastes in Landfill, which stood out with higher figures at 1800 tonnes in 2005, started experiencing a gradual decline. In 2006, the figures stood at 1200, after which it dropped to about 900 tonnes, and it was followed by a marginal fall at 600 tonnes by the end of the period. The figures for Sumping at sea remained the same in 2005, 2006 and 2007. However, it also decreased slightly to 480 tonnes in 2008.
