Overall, the birth rate witnessed an upward trend for the whole period ,and the opposite one slightly decreased. Births consistently outnumbered deaths, and the gap between the two widened considerably by the end of the period.
In terms of years, where the gap between two figures were fairly similar, there was a 1.2 million in the birth rate and 1 million in the death rate, in 1975. 1985 was the only year, when the death rate (1.3 million) overtook the number of the birth rate (1.2 million). In 1995, the birth rate was at 1.7 million, while the death rate was 1.5 million.
In terms of the years when the gap between these two rates was significantly larger than before, in 2005, the birth rate was at 2.7 million people and the death rate was at 1.1 million people. In the following years( 2015 and 2025), there was a similar trend in both of these years. In 2015, the birth rate (3 million) was larger and the death rate (1 million) was less than in 2005. In 2025, the birth rate and the death rate was 3.2 million and 0.8 million respectively.
