Overall, all age groups experienced an increase in gym attendance over the 20-year period. Younger age groups, particularly those aged 18-24, consistently had higher participation rates compared to older groups.
Regarding under 34 age group, the percentage of the 18-24 age group started at nearly 8% in 1990 and significant increased and reached a peak at nearly 60% in 2006. Although declining to 50%, the share of gymers 18-24-year-old recovered at 60% in 2010. Standing at 10% of the 25-34 age group, people who visited to gym rose and surpassed the 18-24 age group at nearly 9% in 1998. The figure for gymers at 25-34-year-olds was gradually grew to 40% in 2010
In term of over 35 age group, gymers form 35 to 44 years old started at around 5% in 1990 and significant increased to 40% in 2010, which was as fifth times compared to the beginning. Followed the similar trend, the proportion of over 45 years old stood at 4%, and rose to about 22% in 2010
