The diagram illustrates how many times by average men and women traveled because of 6 various reasons in a European country in 2010.
Overall, men traveled the most because of work, whereas women made the majority of journeys to shop. Both men and women traveled least on day trips. Women traveled a bit more than men.
With regard to the most popular reasons for journeys, men traveled to work just over 300 times in average, while an average woman traveled there about 220 times. Men traveled for shopping far less than women, approximately 175 and 250 times respectively. Likewise, the number of journeys made by men for visiting friends made up slightly less than that of women, about 80 and just under 100 respectively.
On the other hand, men took children to school about 60 times, as opposed to women who did that just under 150 times. Similarly, men traveled to sport/entertainment roughly 60 times, which is about 10 times more than the number of women’s journeys for that. Finally, the quantity of men’s journeys for day trips constituted about 25 times, whereas the number of women’s travels for this accounted for roughly 20 times.
