The line graphs illustrate how the population volume changed over 24 years, from 1992 to 2016, in three Australian metropolitans, namely Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. Overall, It is evident that eventually, the population of these three locations increased pass by up and down trends. Even though Melbourne and Sydney rose to their peak at the end of this period, Brisbane faced its maximum in 2009.
At the beginning of this reviewed duration, Melbourne and Sydney had almost equal numbers of residents, even though they passed frequent shifts and after 24 years they also had a similar population of around 100 thousand. On the contrary, It is worth pointing out that the figure for Melbourne started with about 5 thousand people more than Sydney and after ten years the figure for Sydney has gone beyond. Thus, Melbourne experienced its minimum in 2004 and Sydney achieved the first level in 2016 with about 110 thousand population among three cities.
Brisbane like previous cities followed an overall upward pattern, however, did not arrive at the highest figure at the end. The population of Brisbane followed by an intermittent trend rocked to its peak in 2009 from about 26 thousand to just over 60 thousand. Eventually, In 2016, the population of Brisbane was nearly 50 thousand and ranked 3rd.
