The chart illustrates the educational background of Bulgarian people who wanted to relocate to another country and how it changes over time.
According to the chart, people with secondary education had the highest proportion in each year. However, it changed over the period given. In 2002 there were 65 percent of Bulgarians who completed secondary level education, while in 2006 and 2008 the number has decreased and accounted for 61 and 59, respectively.
As for the other categories, the second highest percentage was among people with primary and lower education. In 2002 only 18 percent of Bulgarians had received primary education. By 2006, the number of people at the level of primary schooling has increased from 18 to 19 percent. By 2008 the amount of Bulgarian people on a lower educational stage has risen by 32 percent.
In contrast, higher education was completed by a small amount of people in each year of the provided period. There was a slight increase in 2006, where the percentage raised from 17 (in 2002) to 20. But in two years it became roughly twice lower. By 2008 the percentage of Bulgarians with higher education accounted for only 9 percent.
