The graphs illustrate the expenditure on children’s sports and their participation in the United Kingdom in the period between 2008 and 2014.
It is noticeable that monthly expenditure on sports for children rose during the whole period. According to the number of participants, football is a common sport among children.
In case of expenditure, spending on sports started at 20 million pounds in 2008. Since then it has only risen moderately and peaked at under 35 million. In 2010 the expenditure was between 20 and 25 million pounds. However, in 2012 it was more than 25 million.
In regards to the second graph, football has always been a popular sport. The scale of this sport was 8/9 million participants throughout the period from 2008 to 2014. Before a significant increase between 2010 and 2012, athletics started at the point of 1 million children. It peaked at 5 million athletes. Swimming was at a scale of 2/4 for all the time.
