The given bar graph compares the percentages of Canadian citizens who participated in social media in two consecutive years (2014 and 2015), according to the number of online sites that they used simultaneously.
In general, the majority of the population in both years used just one online site, while the minority was registered to five sites. However, in 2015, the proportion of people using more than one social media grew.
In 2014, 36% of Canadians were relying solely on one social network, which tripled the figure for three sites usage. In addition, almost one-quarter of the population utilised two sites, which was very similar to the percentage for the group that was not engaged in any social network. On the contrary, very few people were subscribed to four and five sites, with 5% and 2% respectively.
In regard to 2015, the one-site group decreased by 8% in comparison with the previous year, whereas people using three and four social platforms rose to 16% and 8% respectively. Nevertheless, roughly one-fifth of the Canadians remained unsubscribed to any social media during this year.
