The chart illustrates the percentage of spending for the residents in the UK in year 2004 among people less than 30 till over 76 on food,restaurant and entertainement.
Overall, the highest spending for young generation is on restaurants and hotels while the older generation spends more on food and entertainement.
The younger generation precisely under 30 spends about 16% on going to restaurants and hotels, this number fluctuates whenever generations become older to reach between 10% and 2 to 6% for people aged between 61 and 76 plus.
The complete opposite is for Food and drink as it shows a sharp increase whenever generations become older as the lowest spending was for people under 30 and then became 18 for people aged between 46 and 60 to reach the maximum for elderly people for about 22 %.
Also, the same concept for entertainment with minor differences as the spending for young people is about 6% while this number rised to reach a peak for people aged between 61-75 that have about 22% of their spending on it. This number dropped for elderly people having more than 76 years in which they spend 12 % on entertainement.
