Overall, the percentage of boys who participated in sports and playing musical instruments was greater than that of girls. It is also clear that the opposite was true for drawing.
To begin, the pecentage of boys and girls stood at nearly one twentieth for both of them. The same trend was true for singing. As for the musical instruments, 15% of Austrlian boys played them in 2003 and the figure for girls was 5% less. Meanwhile, the number of boys who participated in drawing classes was a tiny proportion of approximately 2.5% in this year, and as for the trend for the girls, the number was nearly 10 times more.
Turning to the sports, only a half of the Australian girls were engaged into it in 2003. Regarding the figure for the boys, the percentage was 20% more.
