Overall, in Finland people mostly used telephone to have call in local lines, while the number of minutes used in telephone call to national and international lines rose considerably over the years. Additionally, popularity of mobiles started to increase significantly year by year.
Firstly, the number of minutes used to call for local lines accounted for 12,000 minutes in 1995. The number of call minutes had gradual rose to 17,000 in 2001. The figures started to decline significantly to 12,000, in 2004, local landline dominated the chart making it most used telephone to call.
The different trend could be seen in the national and international landlines, they had 6,000 minutes called by Finland population in 1995. The number of minutes strated to increase minimally every year, in 2004, 10,500 minutes was made to call national or international numbers.
The using mobile phones started in 1995 with 100 minutes, over the years popularity of mobiles rose considerably reaching 9,900 minutes in 2004, however phone calls in mobile stood at the bottom.
