Overall, the percentage of coal was the highest in 1995 and 2005, while the percentage of other sources was the lowest in both charts. Over the 10-year period, the proportion of petro decreased significantly, whereas the proportion of nuclear and gas rose.
In 1995, it can be seen that the proportions of gas, coal, and petro were almost equal. In contrast, the percentages of nuclear and other sources were lower, at around 6.4% and 4.9%, respectively.
Moreover, in 2005, the shares of coal and gas increased slightly to approximately 30.9% and 30.3%, respectively. Meanwhile, the figure for petro declined dramatically to around 19.5%. Additionally, the percentage of other sources almost doubled between 1995 and 2005, rising from 4.9% to 9.1%, while nuclear energy grew to 10.1%.
