The line chart demonstrates three types of waste disposal in a European country from 2005 to 2008.
As can be seen from the chart, it is evident that while disposal via burning had a tendency, the landfill method witnessed a downward trend, and waste dumped in the sea had a minor fall. In addition, the amount of burned waste was generally the highest over the period of 3 years.
The number of burning types stood at around 65 million tonnes in 2005, which witnessed a rocket hitting the lowest point of 40 in the next 2 years, followed by a sharp growth to 65 million metric tons by the end of the period.
Meanwhile, the amount of waste buried in landfills started at 70 million tonnes, the highest among all types of waste in 2005, before experiencing a dramatic drop to roughly 40 million tonnes by the end of time. Similar changes can be seen in the statistics of garbage dumped in the sea, but to a lesser extent, which fell slowly from 55 million tonnes in 2005 to about 40 million tonnes after three years.
