The bar graph illustrates the fuel usage in the transport sector in different European countries, compared to EU average between 2009 and 2010.
Overall, Slovakia has been having the highest fuel consumptions while Greece had the lowest usage in comparison with EU average.
In 2009, the transportation sector in Slovakia consumed almost 9% of the total fuel whereas it dropped by 6.5% in 2010. Spain had a similar trend that the consumption is higher in 2009 by about 3.8% and shows a decline by 3% in 2009.
On the other hand, Italy, France and Greece shows that they have a higher consumption of fuel in 2010 compared to 2009. Italy fuel usage in 2010 was 5.2%, France recorder with 4.2% and Greece was 2%. However, in 2009, there is minimal decrease in the percentage. Italy dropped by 4.3%, France by 3.8% and Greece by 1.1%. In addition, Austria remained consistent in both years by 5.1%
