The chart compares the average rainfall in different months of two cities in Brazil over a year.
The city Brasilia saw a decrease of rainfall throughout the first half of the year and then a steady increase in rain for the rest of the year; on the contrary, the average monthly rainfall in Salvador rose at the beginning of 2016, then fell and stayed steady afterwards.
In January, Brasilia saw the highest amount of rain at around 200 millimeters, where Salvador had the least rainfall for the whole year at approximately 150 millimeters. The average rainfall in Salvador then increased and reached the peak in April at around 300 millimeters, which is more than three times compared to the amount of rain in Brasilia.
Brasilia saw the least amount of rain at around 25 millimeters in July where the average rainfall in Salvador had fallen to approximately 200 millimeters. The rainfall in Brasilia then increased and reached to its peak again in December while Salvador saw a steady amount of rain throughout the rest of the year at around 170 millimeters.
