The given bar gives data about how much aid given by six different modernised countries to developing countries between 2008 to 2010.
Overall, all figures rose , except for Sweden, which did not change. Notably, USA witnes an upward trend whereas the reverse was true for the remaining Sweden. Additionally, the UK showed the most significant changes over the period, while the opposite was in Japan, which was levelled off.
In 2008, there was a significant fall in the amount of aid from USA, which stood at around 22 (2008) , but had declined to 18 by 2009. Despite an initial sharp fall to approximately 4, it then had recovered reaching a high of close to 25 by 2010. Similarly change was in Germany. The quantity of aid fell slightly, declining from 9 to 10 between 2008 and 2009. Although after one year period the figure rose to approximately 13.
It is also clear that, UK was the second main developed country, the quantity of aid saw a significant growth from 8 to 13. Interestingly, Netherlands was the one of the least supportive country, the amount of aid saw a significant increase initially with from 6 to just under 10 between 2008 and 2009, then declined to 7 in 2010.
In addition, The other two countries did not experience any growth. Japan dropped from 11 to 8 at first, but later recovered to 11. The least supportive country was Sweden, initially there was marked increase from 6 to 7, after one year experience this dropped to 5.
