It is clear that the highest amount of money was spent on Smartphones and Laptops in all three countries . By contrast , the amount of money spent on CDs was lowest over the period.
In terms of Smartphones , consumer expenditure was higher in Germany than in Italy and Spain , at 140000 pounds , just under 140000 pounds and 120000 pounds, respectively . The people of Germany also spent more money on Books , at almost 110000 pounds , than the people of Italy and Spain , at just over 80,000 pounds and nearly 100000 pounds respectively . The amount of money spent on toys was approximately 110000 pounds in Germany , which was almost double the amount of money spent on toys in Italy .
On the other hand , spending on the rest of the items was slightly higher in Italy and Spain. While about 130000 pounds was spent on Laptops in Italy , the figure for the Germany was around 120000 pounds . The amount of money spent on CDs was 40000 pounds in Spain and nearly 40000 pounds in Germany .
