The line graph provides information about the monthly contract costs for different mobile plans in a European country between January and September 2002 (in euros).
Overall, all types of mobiles experienced an increase in cost throughout the period, with the exception of Alpha phones, falling back in the final few months. Another interesting point is that Domo’s phone cost started at the highest rate, but by the end it had been overtaken by Sim TX, whose growth was most considerable.
Initially, Domo phones were the most used technology, beginning at 15 euros. Their costs fluctuated significantly from €15 to €20 in the next five months, followed by a noticeable growth of about 23 euros in September 2002. In contrast, the average cost of a monthly contract for a Lex phone started significantly lower at approximately 13 euros in January but saw substantial fluctuation between 13 euros and 14 euros during the six months, and then their costs increased gradually to €18 in the last few months.
Alpha costs, which started at €9, followed by a steady upward trend, reached nearly €15 by June, and this figure decreased considerably to 8 euros finally. Conversely, the cost of a monthly contract for Sim TX in a European country began at 5 euros initially, although Sim TX costs rose to €7 in April, and they remained stable at €5 in the next three months. Excitingly, despite being a lower rate, Sim TX costs showed a dramatic growth of 25 euros in September and overtook Domo phones.
