The line graph compares four mobile phone companies – Domo, Lex, Sim TX and Alpha – in terms of the average monthly cost of their contracts in a European country from January to September 2002. The figures are measured in euros.
Overall, Sim TX experienced the most significant increase and ended the period with the highest monthly contract cost, while Alpha followed a downward trend overall and finished at its lowest point. Domo and Lex showed more moderate fluctuations throughout the period.
Starting with Sim TX, its monthly contract cost stood at €5 from January to February before rising slightly to approximately €7 in April. From this point onwards, however, the figure fell slightly until June, after which the increase accelerated considerably, reaching a peak of €25 in September.
Alpha followed a somewhat similar pattern during the first half of the period. Its contract cost stood at approximately €9 in January, before declining to nearly €8 and then rising to around €11 in April. Following this, it increased marginally to €14 in June. However, the figure then declined significantly, reaching its lowest point at the end of the period.
In contrast, Lex started at nearly €12 before declining slightly to €10. It then increased progressively, reaching approximately €16 in July. After levelling off briefly, the figure edged up to €18 by September. Meanwhile, Domo started at €15 and increased gradually, reaching €25 in July. Despite some fluctuations thereafter, its contract cost declined consistently to just below €25 at the end of the period.
