The data presented in the bar chart highlight the variation in the amount of time spent in leisure and sport activities categorized by age of citizens ( the young aged 15-19 and adults who are 75 and over years old) in the US in 2015.
Overall, varied age groups showed various preference to spend hours a day in assorted activities, while watching TV accounted for the highest for both age groups.
Upon examining the chart in detail it is clear that socializing/communicating is a little popular (0.8 hours)between 15-19 aged people rather than adults with the figure at 0.7 hours a day. Youngsters’ passion about the activity-playing games computer usage for leisure is twice as higher as that of the old accounting 0.5 hour per day. 0.2 hour were spent in sport activities and recreation by people of ages 75 and over which is three times as less as the youngster’s, accounting for 0.6 hours.
Regarding the other three activities, teenagers spend by far the least time in relaxing and thinking, making a big difference by 0.5 hours when compared to their counterparts( 0.6 hours). People, aged 75 and over, spend one hour a day reading with 0.8 hours variation as compared to 15 19 aged individuals. While watching TV-the most preferable leisure time activity – with the most hours spent by both teenagers and adults, accounted for 2.4 and 4.5 hours per day, respectively.
