The bar chart below provides information about the average time spent each day by youth and old generation on activities and sports in America in 2015.
Overall, it is clearly seen that both old and young people spend most of their time watching TV. The other significant feature of this graph is that elder people spent majority of their time on sedentary activities like reading and relaxing, thinking, while the youngest population spent their spare time on active activities such as socializing, communicating, playing games and sport, exercise and recreation.
4.5 hours were spent on watching TV by old people, whereas just below 2.5 hours were spent by young people. Approximately 0.1 hour was spent on reading by young people, while 3 hours was spent on reading by elder people. The least spent activities by young people were relaxing and thinking.
Young people spent majority of their time playing computer games with just over 1 hour a day, whereas old people spent 0.5 hours per day. The amount of hours spent on sport, exercise and resting by youngest population nearly doubled the figure for oldest generation from nearly 0.2 hours to just over 0.5 hours.
