The chart shows that wives in both age groups presented (24-44 and 45-64) spend more time on unpaid work at home and the total work time is also higher than for husbands of the same age groups while the time spent on paid work by wives is less.
Both husbands aged 22-44 and 45-64 spend spend approximately 7 hours on paid work daily, when wives aged 22-44 and 45-64 work for pay about 5.5 and 6 hours respectively.
When it comes to unpaid work at home, the situation is opposite. Husbands from both age groups work fewer hours than wives: 3 hours for men aged 22-44 and 2 hours for men aged 45-64; the amount of time for women is almost twice higher – 5 hours for women aged 22-44 and 4.5 hours for women aged 45-64.
