Overall, while burglary initially dominated the crime statistics, it quickly declined and fell behind car theft, and robbery remained relatively unchanged throughout the period.

In 2003, the number of burglaries was predominant, totaling 3,450. It peaked in 2004 at 3,750 before steeply declining to 1,050 by 2008, which placed it behind car theft. However, burglary saw a moderate increase before stabilizing at 1,450 in 2012, which was still higher than the robbery figures (510).

In contrast, the number of car thefts, which started in second place, significantly increased, demonstrating fluctuations over the years and reaching its peak of 2,900 in 2012. Meanwhile, the number of robberies experienced a slight increase in 2005 (380) but gradually dropped to 500 by 2009. Although the figures for registered robberies increased again by 2012, reaching 510, it still remained the least frequently committed crime in Manchester City.
